The Latent Chair, 2024
Wood, Creative Coding

This project delves into how artificial intelligence perceives chairs and how humans might adopt AI's processing methods for new insights. It involves analysing chairs from different angles, breaking them down, and reconstructing them into new structures. The resulting chairs represent a departure from AI, showcasing human ingenuity through de-computational intelligence.

The resulting installation combines 2D graphics with two sculptural deconstructed chairs. The 2D graphics displayed on the screen are generated chairs that are continuously reconfigured using creative coding. Two of the chairs were selected to create two sculptural deconstructed chairs.
